The Club meeting for this month has been rescheduled Mon 16th October 2017.
Birr Endurance Trial Results
The Birr Endurance Trial took place last Sunday and was a hig success with lots of entries.
Well done to the organisers and marshals for help making it a huge success, and a big thanks to all landowners
for allowing us access to their property to enjoy ourselves.
A special thanks also to Garahys Truck Garage for providing a ideal venue for the HQ, and also for the gorgeous homemade soup, bread and chocolate cake.

5 Star Catering National Loose Surface Autocross Championship results are now updated after Round 5.
Round 6 of the 5 Star Catering will be hosted by the Galway Motor Club on Sunday 22nd October.

The Birr & District Motor Club Endurance Trial is taking place on Sunday 8th October 2017.
H.Q for the Endurance Trial is Garahy's Garage, Fortal, Birr, Co Offaly. Scrutiny is from 8am with Start @10.00am and the finish is 5:15pm.
20 Smooth Selectives are planned which will be challenging for both Driver & Navigator and are suitable for road cars.

As ever the Birr & District Motor Club's 49th Annual Tom O'Reilly Memorial Car Treasure Hunt was an outstanding success with a whopping 90 Crews taking part. The Car Treasure Hunt is part of the Annual Birr Vintage Week & Arts Festival.
This years route started in Dooly's Hotel Birr and moved on through Syngefield, Crinkill, Kilcolman, Jackies Cross, Coolderry, Leap & finished in Clareen. Clues were varied and some were demanding and hard to find.
The Overall Winner was Ruth Scully on 785 Marks with runners up Brian Kennedy on 780 Marks. Joint 3rd place went to Birr Residents Dermot Horan & Melissa Eades finishing on 775 Marks. The maximum score was 800 Marks.
The Birr & District Motor Club would like to thank all those who participated, The Residents along the route for there patience & understanding, Dooly's Hotel Birr for there excellent hospitality, Birr Vintage Week Committee along with the organisers Pat Corcoran, Eoin Longworth, Una O'Brien, Mick Boland, Ger Brophy, Michael Parkinson, The Garahy Family - Kieran, Eithne, Jane & Hannah who all helped in making it a very enjoyable evenings fun.

Skibbereen Car Club Autocross, Round 4
Round 4 of the Munster Autocross Championship will be hosted by the Skibbereen Car Club on Sunday 9th July. The venue is Keohanes Pit, Grancore, Clonakilty with check in starting at 8:30, practice at 10:15 and first car away at 10:45. Regulations, Entry Form & Accomodation List are available from Skibbereen Car Club. Contact Ian O'Brien 086 8678529 after 7pm in you are intending to compete.
